Is Michael Jackson Still Dead?


…After More Than 24 Hours of Relentless ‘News’ Coverage

It seems he is still…dead.

Bad enough poor Michael expired, sadder still it provides yet more proof that real news coverage in this country is, like Michael, also dead.

“The whole world is mourning”, “It is truly a sad day”, “The world is a less brighter place now”, “We are all shocked”.

Those statements are among the many about Jackson. I don’t happen to agree with any of them. I do think those statements more accurately describe what passes as ‘news’ these days.

  2. I'm wondering if we are to be subjected to a whole weekend of St. Michael. They can't seem to find anyone who didnt love him. The guy's dead. A 24 hour wake is more than enough.

  4. Just when I thought it was safe to go back on the Internet, I saw this headline: “Jackson dies, almost takes Internet with him.” (source: www.cnn.com) ARRGGHH!

    Apparently CNN (and any other newsfaker) wants us to believe that Jackson’s death generated more global interest than any other event this week… are there any real reporters left in this country?
