R.I.P. Lynn

…A best friend passes

I’ve been away this last week attending the funeral of a dear friend of more than 30 years and the family she left behind. She was loved and she will be missed.

The President's Presentation

…To The Joint Session Of Congress

The speech was informative, factual, uplifting and forward looking. It brought promise and hope for healthcare reform and a brighter American future. President Obama listed the facts of his case, dispelled the myths and called out the Republican and corporate liar-mongers who wallow in and profit from healthcare misinformation.

In case you missed it or would like to review it, this website Beltwayblips, has the transcript.

Shallow and predictable, the Republicans were their usual rude, disrespectful selves—full of jealousy, loathing and hatred. It’s all they have. They have no positive vision for the future, no desire to see Americans and the United States of America progress. They wallow in the past—regressive and obstructionist to the end—having faith in a 6,000 year old flat earth, that science is evil, that Obama isn’t really an American citizen and that greedy corporate America is our country’s last best hope. They are wrong and way out of touch with the both reality and the majority of citizens. When the President gave his speech, they withered at the sound of facts reaching their ears, the truth burning their brains like proverbial holy water on vampires.

Healthcare reform will happen but it will not include any remedy for the disease that afflicts the right-wing regressives.

President's School Speech

…Nothing Controversial Unless You Are Insane

The complete text of President Obama’s upcoming remarks to our nation’s school children on September 8th, 2009 has been released and the full text can be found here.

I’ve read the entire thing and can’t find a single, controversial thing in it. To the contrary, it is an inspiring, uplifting and encouraging talk to the children of the U.S.A.

Those railing against the President for this speech are sadly way out of touch with reality. They are so far removed from the real world it’s no wonder that not one sane, rational person can take anything they say seriously.

Finally!

The sane voices of Republicans are beginning to be heard over the din of townhall thugs, mis-informed Teabagging knuckle-draggers and racist shouters on the subject of health care reform. Here's a video--produced by progressives-- of an intelligent, informed Iowa Republican and military veteran fighting back against Republican Chuck Grassley and speaking out for the Health care Public Option. Iowa Republicans for Health Care Option.

Pushback. Finally.
