Political Corruption

Corporations Buy Off Politicians and Supreme Court Justices

Big political ‘donations’ to politicians have always been bribes regardless of what some would argue to the contrary. The recent and corrupt U.S. Supreme Court decision granting corporations—including the multi-national banking conglomerates—the right to legally bribe U.S. government officials shines a bright light on how deep big money reaches—all the way to the Supreme Court, apparently. A government ‘of the people, by the people’ is now officially dead in the United States. If, as the ethically challenged corporate lap-dog Justice Roberts argues, corporations have the same rights as ordinary citizens, maybe it’s time to eliminate ALL special incentives and tax breaks to corporations at all levels of government and make them pay their fair share of taxes. Think that will happen? Of course it won’t. Don’t hold your breath waiting for our politicians to do the right thing. They’ve been bribed with far too much money by their corporate masters to care about the rest of us.
