Wisconsin Lie Exposed

...Tax payers do not pay for pensions

It's true: taxpayers contribute nothing to Public Employee Pensions

"Section 13 of the Wisconsin Association of State Prosecutors collective bargaining agreement –“For the duration of this Agreement, the Employer will contribute on behalf of the employee five percent (5%) of the employee’s earnings paid by the State.”

"The pension plan is the direct result of deferred compensation- money that employees would have been paid as cash salary but choose, instead, to have placed in the state operated pension fund where the money can be professionally invested (at a lower cost of management) for the future.

That is the point. While the governor of Wisconsin is busy trying to shift the blame to the workers in an effort to put an end to collective bargaining, the reality is that it was the state who punted on this – not the employees.

Further, by the state employee unions agreeing to the deal proposed by Walker on their benefits (as they have despite Walker’s refusal to accept it) they are taking on much - and possibly all – of the obligation out of their own pockets.

As a result, the taxpayers do not contribute to the public employee pension programs so much as serve as insurers. If their elected officials have been sloppy , the taxpayers must stand behind it. But if the market continues to perform as it has been performing this past year, don’t be surprised if the funding crisis begins to recede."

Governor Walker is out to bust unions in order to increase the bottom line of his rich supporters all the while killing unions and their support for progressives.

Republicans And Leaders Of Iran...

...Have A Lot In Common

Wisconsin Republicans said there was no room for compromise on legislation to curb public workers' bargaining rights.

No room for compromise.

Excellent position for right-wing conservative dictators, wrong position for leaders in a free, democratic society.

Wisconsin had a surplus until the Tea Party governor spent his first moments in office giving a $140 million dollar tax break to the wealthy which put the state in a deficit yet the liars are blaming unions and the hard-working people of Wisconsin.

The American Workers Corporation

…Or How To Beat Them At Their Own Game

There is an insidious movement under way in the United States by corporate fascists like the infamous and grossly rich Koch brothers to kill workers rights and benefits thereby killing unions, workers collective bargaining initiates and other progressive supporters of non-Republican candidates and to further line their greedy pockets with more obscene profits. They are in league with the likes of Dick Army, Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, Fox News and associated loud-mouthed media lackeys and politicians to destroy the rights and benefits of American workers.

That’s what is going on with Republican Governor Walker in Wisconsin and elsewhere across this nation where regressive Republicans have taken control of government. It has nothing to do with balanced budgets or reduced government spending and claiming so is a lie, a conservative meme to hide the real issue.

The Supreme Court is part of this pro-corporation, anti-American citizen, anti-American worker battle aiding the rich like the Koch brothers with unconstitutional rulings that allow the false, illegal premise that corporate entities are to be considered ‘persons’ and thus able to donate as much money as they please to influence (buy off) politicians and elections. If that evil little scheme is going to be the law of the land, then so be it until honest and fair-minded citizens can change it. The mega-rich might be able to bust the unions and other progressive movements but what would they do if the unions morphed into something else, like say, a corporation of their own?

What the workers of America might want to consider is forming a corporation. The American Workers Corporation. Every worker in the United States would join it, would become part of this estimated 200 million-strong mega-corporation. Any corporation or business wanting to hire a worker in the United States would then have to hire through the American Workers Corporation and would have to agree to paying fair wages and benefits. If that were to happen, want to guess how fast the corporate fascist conservatives, their puppet politicians and legal teams would move to change the laws protecting corporations?

What Unites U.S.A. Conservatives?

…CPAC convention told us all we needed to know

The recently concluded Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) convention brought out all the old, tired and ranting leaders and want-to-be leaders of this movement. Analyze the speeches, statements and press releases from organizers, attendees and speakers and it doesn’t take long to find a uniting theme. They hate government, they hate taxes, they hate President Obama, they hate socialism, they hate restrictions and oversight on corporations, they hate liberals, they hate public schools, they hate intelligent people and higher education, they hate compassionate people, they hate people who are different from them and they hate each other.

While We Were Watching Egypt Fight For Freedom…

…Teabagger Republicans Fought Against Our Freedoms

How’d these home-grown fascists do that? By supporting and voting for renewal of the insidious anti-American, anti-Constitutional freedoms legislation known as “The Patriot Act”—a totally misguided, miss-named piece of Bush/Cheney right-wing garbage if ever there was one. Face it, there’s nothing patriotic about the government stifling the freedom and liberties of the citizens of the United States of America and that’s a fact, an indisputable truth. But don’t even try to confuse Teabaggers and Republicans with annoying little things like facts and the truth. It makes their heads explode.

All the news media, the CIA, all the pundits and talking heads believed and reported that Egyptian President Mubarak would resign. Turns out they were wrong. If these media and intelligence prognosticators were in Romania, I guess they’d get fined and imprisoned for practicing fortune telling.

Meanwhile, In Romania…

…witches and fortune tellers could soon face fines or prison if their predictions fail

Interesting.

The Romanian government wants to punish those who make predictions that don’t come to pass? Seriously?

Consider this, then.

Pound for pound, prediction for prediction, I’ve seen more inaccurate and out-right wrong predictions on a daily basis by highly paid financial pundits, investment counselors, political talking heads, news broadcasters, weather forecasters, religious leaders and politicians than by any witch, fortune telling card reader, ground hog or astrologer.

The Guilty Always Run Away

George W. Bush, former U.S. President and current war criminal on the run, canceled a trip to Switzerland this month fearing arrest and legal action against him by the Swiss government over criminal probes into allegations of torture and other related war crimes.

He must be guilty, otherwise he would have welcomed a public trial to prove his innocence. After all, you only run and fear the police, the courts and justice if you’re guilty. Isn’t that the right-wing’s way of viewing criminals?

You can run for years, George, but you can’t hide. Ask any high-ranking Nazi war criminal from Hitler’s Germany. If there’s any justice in the world, they will eventually get you.

Committing War Crimes Pays

…Bush Secretary Of Defense Publishes A Book

Donald Rumsfeld has a new book out and the press lackeys like Howie Kurtz are drooling over it. “Rummy shows his lighter side,” chuckles Howie, bowing and worshiping at the feet of one of his Bush Regime war criminal gods.

I’m guessing Howie—the ever-loyal lap-puppy—got a free copy from his master rather than pay the sum of $20.00 for Ebook/Kindle copies or $60.00 over at Amazon.

Unlike Howie, I’ll pass on Rummy’s self-serving piece of garbage because the truth is, there’s nothing remotely humorous or ‘light’ about the memoires of a war criminal.

It’s Idiocy Like This, Tea Party…

…that let’s the world know you don’t have a clue about, nor a viable, intelligent solution to, the problems that face our nation.

Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., has proposed a $4.5 billion cut from Veterans Affairs Department health programs—and a freeze in veterans health care funding — along with a cut in disability compensation for veterans also receiving Social Security disability benefits — all part of a $400 billion package of spending cuts the tea party (new republican party) leader says could be enacted to avoid increasing the $14.3 trillion cap on government borrowing.

“Her proposal to cut $4.5 billion from Veterans Affairs Department health programs to reduce government spending has earned a quick, sharp rebuke from major veterans groups.” –Army Times.

I have a better idea, Michele. You really want to do something about the deficit and the problems plaguing our country?

Here’s how: 1. Stop the immoral and unnecessary wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere and bring our troops home. 2. Cancel the billions of dollars of government contracts going to the greedy corporate war machine of the military/industrial complex that’s sucking the money out of our treasury and the life from our country.

“The day this nation can’t afford to take care of its veterans is the day this nation should stop creating them.”
